About First Baptist Church Sallisaw
First Baptist Church Sallisaw was founded August 7, 1890 in Fairview, Indian Territory, and has grown into a vibrant church community serving Sallisaw for more than 135 years. The congregation built its first building in 1896, a red brick sanctuary in 1909, and a new sanctuary in 1959, with remodeling and additions (educational spaces, fellowship hall, gymnasium) between 1974 and 2019. The church exists to "Make Disciples."
